Happy birthday, Riel…. we’re the same age now, for a month at least 🙂
The kids are back to school after the two-week Christmas break, which by the way, we didn’t enjoy as much as we caught the flu bug, on and off. Right now, I’m on antibiotic. I should be feeling better soon.
Daybook, January 7, Monday (3:42pm)
Outside my window… it’s a chilly afternoon, -11˚C and real feel of -16˚C. It’s good to be inside, watching TV with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

I am thankful… that we have stock of antibiotics (brought from Manila).
I am wearing… comfy clothes.
Around the house… holiday decors to be taken down soon.

I am hoping… that this nasty cough and scratchy throat go away asap.
I am hearing… TV tuned to the golf channel.
One of my favorite things… Downton Abbey series. I marathoned the Season 3 and the Christmas Special in two-days. Thank you online streaming!
A few plans for the rest of the week… trip to the grocery.
Randomness…
– We got new beds for the boys as our Christmas gifts and they love it so much that they’re in bed by 730! But early to bed didn’t mean early to rise. They oversleep!
– Gabby was also on antibiotic and his brothers teased him that it kills his brain cells. Raf, in particular, told him that antibiotic came from the words anti (means contra) and bio (means life), attacking his brain cells first causing him to forget everything he learned! This explains why I caught Gabby chanting his multiplication table. He said it took a long time to memorize it and he was upset he may soon forget it.
– We have a blooming amaryllis. I love its coral color.
