May…

My mom texted me this afternoon and said that she was browsing this blog at 2:30am!  I told her I’d be uploading more.  So here’s our May 2015.May15-01

May 2.  Typical viber call with my Ate Cris… almost two hours of non-stop conversation.  Connecting with my family recharges me.  That evening, we went to Mon and Jojie’s place to watch the Pacquiao fight.

May 3.  I still love watching my boys from afar.  I caught Gabby here playing outside with his shadow.  He sure knows how to entertain himself.

May 5.  Some Pinoy snacks that we enjoy.  I don’t buy regularly but when the craving hits, I’m just thankful these goods are readily available.  The sapin-sapin is my number one favorite and Beck makes it deliciously good.  The boys enjoy the Choco Crunchies, Choco Mallows and Goldilocks Pinipig Polvoron.

May15-02
May 6.  Our Meatless Monday was pushed to Wednesday.  Salad, fish and fries for dinner.

May 7.  Done with Invisalign. Yay!   In the afternoon, Raf invited six classmates at home after school.  They were released early because it was an exam day.   They had pizza for lunch, played video games, and Nerf water guns(!!!) outside.  They were all soaking wet.

May 8.  My mom sent me a picture of the flowers and chocolates we sent her for Mothers Day.  Outside, the ducks are back.

May 9.  Big day for the boys.  It was their Confirmation Day.  We celebrated it with Grammy and Grampy and with friends who we consider our family here.

May15-05
May 11.  My high schoolers usually arrive home from school at 4:20.  Riel and I pick them up everyday.  Outside, I’m enjoying the tulips.

May 14.  Cheese macadamia nuts… our current obsession.  To die for!  Grampy indulged us with this for weeks.

May 15.  Raf bought his flat screen monitor for his Raspberry Pi computer that Ninong Fred gave them on their confirmation.  Then we made a side trip to Orange Julius, something that the boys had not tasted before.

May 18.  Our bikes inside the cabanon.

May15-06
May 18.  We biked to the courts and played tennis, something that we enjoy doing as a family.
May15-07
May 18.  My recent blood test showed that I have iron deficiency anemia.  I’m taking these supplements everyday.

May 19.  Our frontage seriously needs some curb appeal.  I’m new to gardening and still has a lot to learn.

May 20.  Happy 15th anniversary to us.  Cheers!  Lobsters and steak at home, courtesy of lui et moi.

May 21.  We brought Raf to school at 6am for their class overnight field trip to Quebec City.

May15-08
May 22.  Raf arrived from Quebec City close to 6pm.   I missed him.  He got me a necklace as present.

May 23.  We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at our favorite Japanese restaurant, Maiko Sushi.

May15-09
May 26.  Around here… love seeing kite boarders at the lake.

KQOTD.  Raf:  Mom, so what do I pack for Quebec?   Riel suggested: Start from head to toe.   Raf: Okay… cap, shades, earphones,  iPad, iPhone, chargers…..
