#@%^$!! *sniff*sniff*cough*cough*

I was so sick since Thursday.  Anyone knows a good cough remedy?  One that works for a dry, throat tickling cough and runny nose?  Raf passed it on to me then I passed it on to Riel.  Saturday was my worst day though and I’m feeling a little better now, but the itchy throat is still there.

Anyway, previous to this “pesteng ahem” I was busy doing sugar flowers for my sister’s wedding.  My Ate will bake the cupcakes and I’m in charge of the fondant toppers.

I feel like a kid again, playing with clay.
It’s time-consuming but I enjoy the process.
Just some of the flowers that dried already.
The flowers on dummy cupcakes.

Yesterday we were at in-law’s place for the usual Sunday mass and lunch get-together.  My brand new nephew was there.  And as much as I wanted to cuddle him, I couldn’t do so because of my cough and colds.  I restrained myself from going too close to him so I just feasted my eyes on him.

Meet Javi… awww, isn’t he so cute?
He looked so contented in Grammy’s arms.
I like it when babies yawn… I like the smell of their breath… so, umm, milky.
This is Grammy, my beautiful mother-in-law, together with Keelia, my niece.
“Hey Grammy, Keelia… look  here.”
A few seconds later, Javi opened his eyes and looked at me.  “I’m going to be your Ninang,” I said.
“Eeerrr.. ooooh… ahh…”  Translation: Hi Ninang Bern, hello Ninang Bern, how are you?  (Javi couldn’t verbalize it yet, but see, we already understand each other)

“Hmmmm…. ninang is so pretty.  Mama and Papa made the right choice.  Gosh, I’m so damn lucky!” (That’s what his smile meant.  I read his mind.)   I love those folded neck.  Hey Riel, I want another one!  My womb is crying out loud.

KQOTD: Gabby: Mommy, can eight babies fit in your tummy?  Me: Obviously not.  Gabby: So how can we have eight babies born at the same time?  Me: Well, you can’t.  Maybe two, like you and Marco are twins.  Others can have triplets but it’s a long shot.  It’s not going to happen to me.  Gabby: Oh I know.  Daddy can get eight Mommies to have eight babies or four Mommies with twins.  (Err, I don’t think I like it if Daddy gets additional Mommies.  As a consolation, at least Gabby knows his Math)
