Hubby is out on a business trip so my children own me 100% for the next three days. Yesterday, he left work early and passed by the house to get me. He treated me to a relaxing spa and a sumptuous Japanese dinner. How I love being able to do this – a date on a regular weekday, at four in the afternoon and still be back home at 8pm to check on the kids and go over their homework… nice, isn’t it?
And speaking of kids, my eldest son (6yo) brought me to his school’s book fair yesterday. I let him choose the books to buy and we surpassed our budget. But I’m basically happy with his selection, more so when we got home and saw him reading to his two kid brothers (4yo). And know what he was reading to them? It’s “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein. Pretty amazing, huh?
