April Recap

Some stuff from April.

Outside… after being cooped up inside the house for months, spring is finally here.

There’s the sign of life of my hydrangea…
…and cool weather, too.

Expérimentation… par Gabriel.  Fabriquer sa crème glacée sans congélateur ou sorbetière.   Gabby was skeptical at first, wondering how he can make ice-cream without using an ice-cream maker or putting it in the freezer.

He gathered the materials, read the recipe, and followed it carefully.

Et voilà!  It was a success!
Activity… Marco got invited to his friend’s birthday party.  He insisted on making his own birthday card.

Welcome… two little cute girls staying with us for six weeks.

Food… lots of pasalubong.  Among them is Mrs. Cunanan’s ensaymada, one of Manila’s best.

Gathering… Friday barbecue with friends.  On the menu: japanese kani salad, pinoy barbecue, korean spare ribs, japanese yakitori chicken, cassava cake, pinoy turon, and fresh fruits.

Fresh… Marco enjoying his huge bowl of salad.  I don’t remember myself snarfing greens at 10 years old.

Bargain… ladies golf shirts further marked down to $10, from $75-80 to $39.99 to $10.  I got eight shirts.

Weather… lovely.  We took the girls to the lake for a walk.
