Il Fait Beau!

For today, Monday (April 15)

Outside my window… il fait beau!  Clear and sunny, contrary to the cold, wet and slushy weekend weather.

Hearing… the boys studying with Mme. Nathalie, the kids’ french tutor.

Enjoying the scent of… Vanilla Macadamia ice-cream.  It’s homemade.

On my mind… wondering if I’m still anemic.  Had my blood test last week and results will be out by month-end.  Somehow I noticed that the needle they used this time was a lot bigger than usual.  It wasn’t pain-free, and it gave me a bruise too.  I was so hungry from fasting that as soon as I got home, I devoured my favorite Fairmount bagel and cheeses in less than 5 minutes.

From the kitchen… leftover cassava cake.  Homemade too.  I was craving for the luscious cassava cake that we used to get from a little café in Baguio (Everything Nice).  My version isn’t the same, but passable.

Homemaking… done putting up the fresh curtains (and the house smells like laundry detergent).

Appearance… faded blue jeans (so 80s, lol)

Event… I joined the art exhibit at the community center last weekend.  It was my third time to join.

Blessings… free time.

From the crafts room… a little pillow for Gabby using his old sleeping shirt.  Being the smallest among my boys, it took Gabby quite a long time to outgrow shirts that had to be handed down by Raf and then by Marco.  It’s quite an accomplishment for him to say goodbye to old shirts.

Ongoing… bento snacks for the kids.

Simple pleasures… massage.  Had it twice in a row…. ahh, heaven on earth.

My week is looking… busy.  My in-laws are arriving on Friday! 🙂
