I’m Standing Here Outside the Door…

I hate to wake you up to say goodbye…. (sing with me!)

———–

Well not really outside, but out in the garden!   Tee hee, Ha ha

So my cousins came to bid us farewell last Sunday.  I was so thankful it didn’t rain (my rain dance worked once again).  It was a joyful dinner get-together, except that my kid sister Liezl hugged me and cried and told me she’ll miss me.  I was moved so I also cried. We don’t like drama, but my sister’s silly pregnancy hormones acted up.

Anyway, it was a potluck dinner.  Michell made pesto pasta and Michael et al brought grilled Bangus from Pixies while Ate got steaks from Santis (which DH grilled) and my brother Dennis cooked the lengua.

Out in the garden.  I love this place (except the bugs).

My cousins are all younger than me and Ate.  Ate Cris is the firstborn grandchild of both the Gutierrez and Pagsanghan sides of the family.  I came into this world thirteen months after.  Then the cousins were born one by one, almost yearly.  So you can imagine the childhood birthday parties that we attended.   Above, I’m with Gay and Liezl, and Martin, Kim and AC.

With Michael, Hans, Paolo, Ate Cris, and my brother Dennis.
Mitch, everyone liked your pasta.  Share the recipe, will you?

With Rovic, my BIL (DH’s brother), and wife Gina.  They’re one of the coolest couples I know.  See how silly he is, and how he makes Gina laugh?  It’s a good thing.

The serious (and normal) shot.  We’ll miss you guys.  Hope to see you in SF next year.
