I made my special Tiramisu last Sunday for contribution to Riel’s Christmas Party Monday night. It was a hit!
The cast of characters:

Tiramisu in Italian means pull-me-up (Tirami su) in reference to the effects of sugar and espresso, translated figuratively as “pick me up.” (Source: Wikipedia, where else?)
I used espresso for my soaking solution combined with the liquor. The aroma filled the air downstairs (our kitchen, unfortunately, isn’t ready yet) and triggered some kind of coffee-wanting. The kids were not immune to the aroma and begged yaya to make some for them.

Meantime, last Saturday, I was in Greenhills. Traffic was really bad. It took me and my mom an hour to find parking. This sounds silly but I went there to buy fresh poinsettia. The ones found here in Alabang cost P200 for a small pot and I thought that it would be cheaper in Manila. I did get a discount of P40/pot. Riel kidded me that the parking fee, gas, time, and trouble were not worth the discount. But that’s how my mind is wired. Unfortunately for him, he’s stuck with me.
